Imagining a dystopian streetscape where speculative developments have replaced every bungalow, Medium Density used video, animation, sculpture, collage and text-based works to parse and critique the era of the real estate bubble we have all been living through.

Medium Density represents the second collaboration between myself and architect Zoe Diacolabrianos. The reality of densification is here, and it’s ugly.  Drawing on and expanding upon previous collaboration, Multidwelling, and The Coburg Plan archives, Medium Density took an even more unsparing look at the new Australian Ugliness cropping up in our suburbs daily.
